National Association of Nutrition Professionals
The National Association of Nutrition Professionals is the only professional business league dedicated to advancing holistically trained nutrition professionals. Their mission is to advocate for and empower a flourishing community of professionals dedicated to the principles of holistic nutrition.
Graduates of the Nutritional Consulting program meet the educational standards to become professional members of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP). They also qualify to write NANP’s board certification exam to earn the Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® (BCHN®) title.
The Health Coach Alliance

British Columbia Recreation & Parks Association (BCRPA)
alive Academy is proudly accredited by the British Columbia Recreation & Parks Association. The BCRPA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the recreation and parks field by expanding the capabilities of its members and promoting leisure services. The Association provides extensive educational opportunities, distributes a broad range of information through its publications, promotes employment opportunities for its members, and acts as the independent voice of the Recreation and Parks movement in BC.
BCRPA is the provincial registration body for fitness professionals in BC. The BCRPA Fitness Branch registers leaders who are able to demonstrate that they have acquired the necessary qualifications and training. The Natural Health Fundamentals and Sports & Fitness Nutrition courses are approved for 20 continuing education credits each for the purposes of BCRPA registration renewal. Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners (CEBHCP)
alive Academy is proudly accredited by the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners Inc. All diploma programs have met the CEBHCP's stringent standards for its legal designations: Registered Nutritional Counsellor (RNC) and Certified Natural Health Practitioner (CNHP), which are recognized by the Holistic Practitioners Business Bylaw of Toronto and federally recognized across Canada.
The Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners Inc. is a private, not-for-profit, federally chartered organization which promotes health care programs of complementary medicines. This progressive body has set standards of professional qualifications for health care practitioners in this field and provides a forum for the development, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge and skills appropriate to the requirements of professional complementary health care practice. This has been done in order to promote and support effective, safe, and ethical holistic health care practices. Since 1992 CEBHCP been on the advisory committee of HPRAC (The Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council), an advisory body to the Ontario Minister of Health and Long-Term Care on matters related to the regulation of health professions in Ontario. canfitpro is the largest provider of education in the Canadian fitness industry. Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)
alive Academy is certified as a qualifying institution by the Minister of Employment and Social Development (ESDC) under sections 118.5 and 118.6 of the Income Tax Act. This certification enables us to issue legal tuition tax receipts (T2202A) for income tax purposes. Students may receive a significant portion–or even all–of tuition fees back.

Health Action Network Society (HANS)
alive Academy is a proud member of the Health Action Network Society. Established in 1984, HANS is a membership-based, independent, charitable organization gathering and disseminating the choices and voices of health promotion. Their mission is to promote and protect health and well-being from a consumer perspective.
The society’s primary goal is to act as a resource for those looking to explore their choices. It also lobbies for government acknowledgement of natural healing products and practices. International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC)
alive Academy has earned accreditation with the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants under its Canadian branch (Nutritional Consultants Organization of Canada). The IONC has approved the curriculum of alive Academy as meeting the educational requirements for its exclusive professional designation, Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP) which is recognized by health professions and insurance companies that cover their services. Liability insurance is also mandatory for all IONC members. As a result of the vital work that RNCPs perform, many extended health care plans are now covering RNCP service fees for IONC members.
The IONC, founded in 1983, is an independent, voluntary, non-profit association. This internationally recognized organization was established to create public awareness about holistic nutritional consulting. It was also established to ensure that practitioners meet high educational and ethical standards as nutritional consulting is not yet government-regulated in Canada (or many other countries world-wide). The IONC is the only regulating organization of nutritional consultants not protected under the Health Protection Agency (HPA). For details IONC website.
National Association of Career Colleges (NACC)
alive Academy is a proud member of the National Association of Career Colleges. The NACC is an association of private career training institutions from across Canada, and the companies offering products and services to those institutions. The NACC's purpose is to encourage excellence in the private training sector and to promote the interests of its members and their students at the national level. The NACC represents, supports, and protects the interests of its membership by identifying the issues affecting private career training institutions and by contributing to the decision-making process. The NACC keeps members informed and helps government understand the important role of private training institutions in providing skills training in Canada. The NACC also helps provincial associations by providing them with relevant information, support, and assistance.
Originally established in 1896 as an association of private business educators, the NACC began in Hamilton, Ontario, as the Business Educators Association. It became incorporated as a nonprofit association at the federal level in 1964. In 1991 the name was changed from the Association of Canadian Career Colleges to the National Association of Career Colleges, in keeping with its role as the national "umbrella" organization.
